Within the scope of the criminal organization investigation led by Aziz İhsan Aktaş, 40 people, including Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat, were detained in the operation carried out on Monday and were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse in the early hours of this morning after a four-day detention period.

After approximately 10 hours of interrogation by the prosecutor’s office, 31 people, including Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat and the alleged leader of the organization, Aziz İhsan Aktaş, were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace on duty with the request for their arrest, and 9 people were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace on duty with the request for the implementation of judicial control provisions.

Among the names questioned by the judge, 9 people, including Ahmet Aktaş, brother of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mehmet Aktaş, and Beşiktaş Municipal Council Member Esra YeniDünya, for whom judicial control was requested, were released on the condition of judicial control.
