Julie Barlatier-Prieuret greens logistics parks at Barjane

“Logistics is a wonderful, useful profession, always different. To best serve its customers, Barjane masters its projects from start to finish.” Julie Barlatier-Prieuret co-founded the Châteauneuf-le-Rouge (Bouches-du-Rhône) logistics site development and management group with her brother in 2006. This engineer, a graduate of Imperial College London and the CFA Institute, started out in finance, “swallowed up by the City”.

“Common peasant sense”

An expertise that has served him well since the first Barjane implementation project, in the Bréguières park (Var), a pleasant, lively, wooded logistics area. “Today, the site’s employees, happy and productive, have taken ownership of their building. By remaining the manager of your projects, you see the results of your work. Our state of mind is the long term.” At 47, she ensures a good balance between her professional and family activities. “With three teenagers, I haven’t finished the job!”

At Barjane, she wants to value and empower her employees: “I’m not bored, I don’t want them to be bored.” To feminize the professions, she receives dozens of interns each year. “In my mother’s eyes, I could do anything. But working and having a family requires organization!” With CSR close to his heart, Barjane has accumulated certifications and recognitions. “Delivering sustainable turnkey projects is common sense. We learn, we innovate, we test… What we build will live long after us, we must do it in a virtuous manner.”

The work that characterizes her

“Mine were to have an interesting job and to be a mother!”
