(Health Korea News / Lee Soon-ho) JW Shinyak announced on the 1st that it has launched a 4ml topical solution for toenail fungus treatment ‘Epineil (ingredient name efinaconazole)’ and has begun full-scale marketing activities.
‘Epineil’ is a prescription medicine that is effective in treating onychomycosis (fungal infection of the toenails) caused by dermatophytes that cause athlete’s foot on the hands and feet. It is a topical solution that can be easily applied to toenails infected with the fungus.
Efinaconazole, the main ingredient of this product, inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, which constitutes the cell membrane of fungi, and inhibits the growth of fungal cells, making it excellent for eliminating the cause of toenail fungus.
In addition, it has high nail penetration rate, so the active ingredients quickly reach under the nail without separate sanding when used, effectively eliminating the fungus that causes onychomycosis.
In addition, JW Shinyak focused on improving the convenience of using ‘Epinayl’. Unlike existing nail fungus treatment external solution products that adopted brush-type packaging, ‘Epinayl’ applied a highlighter-type packaging design to minimize the phenomenon of the medicine getting on the skin around the nail when used, while also improving the spreadability of the product.
