“I tried to go to the NBA last season at the very end of the season…”
Bruno Kabokloformer center Partizan, in an interview with the Greek agency SDNA, he talked about his move to Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Kaboklo, who had problems with disciplinary issues during his stay in Partizan and did not appear in the Superliga final against Red starsis now focusing on the new phase of his career at the Israeli club.
– When I signed for Hapoel, they told me that the goal was to win titles in all competitions. It’s an amazing team, I’ve been here for four days and there are a lot of great players, it’s going to get better day by day.
Kaboklo pointed out that the original plan was to play in the NBA league, and that the Israeli team was another option.
– For me, it was a late decision. I tried to go to the NBA last season at the very end of the season. In the end, I didn’t have that chance, because all the teams had already signed players, so Hapoel was the only option, but also the best possible one for me.
– Everyone played their part in the transfer. We talked to the coach and the president along with my agent and they were willing to wait for me while I train to find a team in the NBA. Unfortunately I didn’t get there, they kept the door open for me at Hapoel, everything worked out well and I’m happy to be here Kaboklo pointed out.
At the end, he expressed his opinion about the Euroleague and believes that Panathinaikos and Olympiakos are above the rest in terms of quality.
– I think that these are the two best teams and that the Euroleague is much stronger than last year. All the teams have made great signings and I will watch the league with enthusiasm and if I play there again I will be happy to be at the highest level again Kaboklo pointed out.
