After many months of thorough investigations, police officers of the Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Kalamata Security Sub-Directorate, arrived at the arrest of a 23-year-old Greek man, who is accused of trafficking cocaine and raw cannabis in the city of Kalamata, with a fairly large clientele.
According to ERT, in a police operation set up on the morning of Thursday, September 5, 3 more people connected to the case were arrested. Another 23-year-old, a 58-year-old as well as the 18-year-old partner of the main defendant in the case. A case file was filed against all those arrested for violation of the laws on drugs and – as the case may be – the offense of violating the legislation on flares and flares.
As it emerged from the same investigation, the 23-year-old had been active in the trafficking of narcotics (cocaine and cannabis) in the wider area of Kalamata since at least mid-June. The 23-year-old arrested was buying quantities of cocaine and raw cannabis (from an as yet unknown person) and then selling them to drug addicts, by appointment, as well as in a restaurant owned by him.

Subsequently, as emerged from the preliminary investigation, the other 23-year-old and the 58-year-old acting as dealers, procured from him quantities of cocaine and cannabis for further trafficking.
As reported by ERT, in order to cover up their illegal activity and divert the investigations of the prosecuting authorities, those arrested were taking special counter-surveillance measures, as well as using telephone connections that were not declared in their real data, but in the data of third parties or foreign nationals, while during the conversations between them they communicated with a predetermined agreement code. In particular, for cocaine and cannabis they used coded names such as “beer” or “coffee shop” while for sums of money they used the characteristic phrase “there and there”. It is also worth noting that many times the buying and selling did not take place directly and they left the drugs and money respectively in iron pipes or even in PPC clocks.
