US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris believes in passive investments. Financial experts describe his portfolio with the word “boring”.
Kamala Harris and her husband, Douglas Emhoff, are multi-millionaires with multiple positions in index funds that are suitable for seniors, Barrons reported.
“He’s a little boring about money,” financial expert Megan Gorman told the Wall Street Journal. “Obviously, he’s made sure there’s nothing controversial or overly risky.”
There is a recent review of Harris’ finances last year, which was signed off in May. According to the Wall Street Journal, Harris and her husband Emhoff’s assets range from $3.6 million to $7.36 million. The federal form only asks for a range of values, so the exact amounts are unknown.
About half of the married couple’s assets are invested in shares through funds, one third is in cash and the rest in bonds.
Experts who spoke to CNBC and looked at Harris’ portfolio highlighted some interesting points about Harris’ placements and pointed to places other investors could learn from.
