Used car retail chain Kamux closes two stores in Finland and one in Sweden.

The Klaukkala and Tornio stores in Finland and the Borås store in Sweden will be closed.

The Klaukkala and Borås stores are closed in early September, and the Tornio store will be closed at the end of September. Klaukkala’s personnel have moved to Kamux’s Järvenpää and Vantaa Varisto stores, and Tornio’s personnel will move to Kamux’s stores in the Oulu region. Some of the staff at the Borås store have moved to other Kamux stores and some have stopped working for Kamux

After closing the stores, Kamux has a total of 71 stores, of which 44 in Finland and 19 in Sweden.

“Optimizing the store network is part of our ongoing program aimed at improving productivity and efficiency, which is being implemented with an accelerated schedule compared to our original plan. In Finland, this means fewer and even bigger stores than before”, CEO of Kamux Tapio Pajuharju commented in the announcement.

According to Pajuharju, the company’s focus in Sweden is primarily on improving profitability, and unprofitable stores are either closed or moved to better business locations. In addition, the company is aiming for better geographic coverage in Sweden than before.
