There are still many questions in the Estonian fencing community, but recently answers have been sought as best as possible. Recently there was hope that Olympic champion Katrina Lehis would join the women’s team, wrote Evening paper.

Estonia’s top six fencers: Nelli Differt, Katrina Lehis, Kristina Kuusk, Irina Embrich, Julia Beljajeva and Erika Kirpu all confirmed to the newspaper that they will continue their sports careers. Although the association is currently in a difficult financial situation, the general secretary of the fencing association Aivar Paalberg still wants to send the women’s team to all competitions. The situation is now complicated by the fact that the coach of the women’s team, Kaido Kaaberma, resigned and the sub-association started looking for a head coach for both the women’s and the team.
