KB Kookmin Bank (CEO Jae-geun Lee) announced that it won the overall grand prize in the banking sector at the ‘2024 Korea Human Resources Development Awards’ awards ceremony held on the 13th.
The ‘Korea Human Resources Development Award’, hosted by the Korea HRD Association, is an award given to companies and educational institutions that have contributed to the development of the domestic human resource development field and revitalization of educational culture. KB Kookmin Bank was selected as the overall grand prize winner in the banking sector for two consecutive years in 2023.
In this evaluation, KB Kookmin Bank received high evaluations in major items such as ▲ people-centered management philosophy ▲ mid- to long-term strategy for human resource development ▲ systematic HRD system, training system, and education and training facilities.
KB Kookmin Bank is expanding its investment in education with the goal of ‘cultivating top-level talent that will lead the financial market.’ We created a self-directed learning culture to support individual employees to become top experts in their field, and reorganized the training operation system by selecting key areas that took into account the bank’s mid- to long-term strategy.
In addition, ‘KB Star Run’, a training platform incorporating the latest IT technology, was established. Employees can easily use systematic training systems and contents, and motivation programs have been implemented to encourage employees to actively participate in learning.
