KB Securities (CEOs Kim Seong-hyun and Lee Hong-gu) announced on the 11th that in celebration of Pregnant Women’s Day on October 10, they held a donation ceremony to provide 100 ‘Kaebi Securities Hope Strollers’ to pregnant women in crisis.

A pregnant woman in crisis refers to a pregnant woman who is experiencing conflict with childbirth and childrearing due to economic or physical difficulties, unexpected pregnancy, or social prejudice. The government enacted the Crisis Pregnancy Protection and Childbirth Act on July 19, 2024, and is implementing it to ensure safe childbirth and child protection.

On the 10th, KB Securities held a ‘Kaebi Securities Hope Stroller’ delivery ceremony at KB Securities headquarters in Yeouido, with officials including KB Securities CEO Kim Seong-hyun and Child Rights Guarantee Deputy Director Go Geum-ran in attendance.

As part of its social contribution activities to solve the problem of low birth rates, KB Securities plans the ‘Kaebi Securities Hope Stroller’ project to increase interest in and provide effective support to pregnant women at risk, and operates and supports 16 local counseling centers for pregnant women at risk across the country. Through the Children’s Rights Guarantee, 100 units of ‘Kaebi Securities Hope Stroller’ were provided.

The Child Care and Security Service and 16 local counseling organizations across the country provide information and counseling services related to childbirth and childcare to create a nurturing environment for pregnant women at risk. In particular, through this support for the ‘Kaebi Securities Hope Stroller’, practical help has been provided to pregnant women in crisis.

Kim Seong-hyun, CEO of KB Securities, said, “With this support, we wanted to support pregnant women who decided to give birth and raise children even in difficult situations and deliver a message of hope.” He added, “Through this stroller support, we are helping all walks of life to address low birth rates, which are a national crisis. We hope that our efforts will increase further, and we at KB Securities will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities based on ESG management.”
