Serie A, the tops and flops of Juventus-Fiorentina from the 18th matchday of the championship. The Viola grabbed a draw at the end. It’s not enough for the Bianconeri to take the lead twice.
It is not a disease but a stable condition, now ordinary for the Juventusyou draw it. The Bianconeri are mocked in the final by the Fiorentina finishing the match once again 2-2 in front of their home crowd. Yet the hosts manage to find the lead twice, always with an overflow Khephren Thuram. He thinks about the first one Keanbut it is the second one Thin to get the Viola back on track. Boos at the Allianz Stadium.
The choices of Motta and Palladino
Juventus and Fiorentina are level on points, with the Viola having a game less. In the direct clash, Thiago Motta surprised everyone by initially leaving Cambiaso and also Yildiz on the bench, opting for McKennie once again left back and Thunder advanced on the wing. There is also something new in the Tuscan house, with Parisi starter for the second time this season despite Gosens. Palladino returns to Turin with the desire to surprise his old club and continue the march towards Europe.

Thuram-Kean back and forth in the first half
Juve’s start is aggressive: the Bianconeri want to keep the pace of the game high by trying to attack the Viola. The racist insults towards Vlahovic, coming from the away sector, stopped the match for a few minutes until the usual announcement from the speaker. The Old Lady picks up where she left off until striking with the individual action of Thuram who takes advantage of the defensive hole to cool De Gea. The guests, however, remain on point and find the equalizer with a header Kean on Adli’s perfect service. The striker from Vercelli does not rejoice and apologizes to his old fans.
Khephren becomes Marcus but Sottil emerges in the final
In the second half the face of Juve is always that of Khephren Thuram. His insertion following an assist from Koopmeiners gave the Bianconeri a new lead. However, Thiago Motta’s team lacks the ability to deliver the final blow to Fiorentina, essentially keeping them alive until the final minutes. And in fact at the 87th the mockery arrives with Thin who with a left-handed volley mocks Di Gregorio for the 2-2.
Juventus report cards
- By Gregory 6 Just a couple of timely releases and little else to report.
- Savona 5.5 A few errors, even trivial ones, during the support phase.
- Gatti 6 Well done both in his penalty area and in the opponent’s. De Gea denies him the joy of scoring. (From ’89’ Fagioli of)
- Rabbit 6 Very good… until Kean’s goal. In the action he misses and for a defender it is a red pencil error. However, he manages to pass the mark because otherwise he is always positioned well and makes a difference on more than one occasion.
- McKennie 5,5 He’s not a full-back and it shows. He thinks as a midfielder, allowing himself to be put in from behind several times. (From 62′ Cambiaso 5 Slides on the action of the 2-2 viola).
- Locatelli 7 A few launches, not always well calibrated. Then the usual work, not so obscure to be honest because the contribution of the Juventus midfielder can be felt.
- Thuram 8 His mid-court breaks are one of the keys to the match. With two of these he scored his first double in black and white. (From ’89’ Douglas Luiz of)
- Conceição 6.5 The usual Chico. He makes a couple of inviting crosses for Vlahovic and is constantly looked for by his teammates for one of his accelerations.
- Shopkeepers 6.5 His position between the lines bothers the Viola. You can sense it from the first minutes, then he disappears from the radar for a bit until Thuram’s assist for the 2-1.
- Thunder 6 Chosen by surprise, he returns to lend a hand in defense as well, demonstrating why Motta wanted him. Not always effective when he pushes, he still puts together a sufficient performance. (From 62′ 5.5 stars A single starting point with a relative deflected conclusion and little more).
- Vlahovic 5 Purple to him is like kryptonite to Superman. 7 games without scoring against his ex. Comuzzo only gives him crumbs and the Serbian does very little with them. (From 82′ Nico Gonzalez of)
Top and flop for Fiorentina
- Kean 7,5 The vote would have been good even without the goal, for the work done. Then he also marks himself as the most ruthless of killers, also going against feelings.
- Thin 7 He does nothing until the minute he scores the 2-2. An award to Palladino who kept him on the pitch.
- De Gea 7 He makes three top-notch saves that aren’t even newsworthy for the Spaniard.
- Forensic 6.5 We need a chocolate for Kean’s head. Also very good in direction.
- Dodo 6 He makes some mistakes in the offensive phase, but at the same time he is also the most dangerous man.
- Cataldi 5.5 Bad in midfield, where he doesn’t make himself heard as he should.
- Parisi 5,5 Palladino identifies him as the ideal element to contain Conceicao: a decision that can be reviewed but it’s not just his fault
- Ranieri 5,5 Guilty delay on Thuram’s percussion, with Comuzzo intent on containing Vlahovic.
- Gudmundsson 5 Impalpable. He only appears on the pitch until Palladino calls him back to the bench.
