Kemira’s change negotiations concluded, 23 will be dismissed

Kemira as a result of change negotiations, the employment of 23 people will end.

The scope of the negotiations was the company’s Finnish personnel, with the exception of the production organization.

Planned organizational changes and their justifications, effects and alternatives were discussed in the negotiations. It was estimated that they could lead to the termination of the employment of a maximum of 40 people.

“We have completed the change negotiations in a constructive spirit with the personnel representatives. The goal of Kemira’s new operating model and organization is to increase profitable growth and accelerate the implementation of our strategy. We will now implement these goals with the new organization in January 2025”, CEO of Kemira Antti Salminen says in the announcement.

Kemira said in August that it was planning a new operating model and organization to enable profitable growth and a transition towards more sustainable operations.

Kemira has about 800 employees in Finland, of which about 280 are in production.
