Kerry King is adamant that Slayer will never tour or record an album again

Slayer played their final concert of the tour on November 30, 2019 in Inglewood, California at The Forum. Just as the guitarist for Slayer, Kerry Kingstarting his solo career in 2024, Slayer has announced several festival appearances in the United States.

Slayer’s return will continue in 2025, with (for now) one appearance at the Louder Than Life festival, but King doesn’t see their return expanding beyond that. In an interview for Metal RoosKing made it clear that Slayer would never tour or record a new album again.

“We will never tour again. We will never record another album. Mark my words: we will never record an album, we will never tour. Because that was the last thing. We said back in 2018, ‘This is our last tour.’ It took us five years to come back and say, ‘Hey, here’s a couple of concerts, a five-year anniversary.'”
