The Kia EV9 GT it is the new super sporty version of the Korean SUV a 7 seats. Ha 508 CVall-wheel drive generated by two motors (one per axle) and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4.3 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than other AWD versions.
Prices and availability for Italy have not yet been disclosed, but in the meantime here are the first important details.
How to go fast in 7
To talk about the new Kia EV9 GT let’s start first of all from the engine numbers, or powertrain in this case. Just like the regular all-wheel drive EV9, so does the new version GT it has two engines, front and rear, in this case however with 217 HP and 367 HP respectively, for that non-mathematical total of 508 CV: number which, still in the approval phase, could increase when deliveries begin.
To better manage all the extra power generated by the new engine group – according to what Kia declared in the preliminary data of the model – the sportiest of the EV9s has been equipped with larger brakes, updated suspension with adaptive shock absorbersspecific Continental tires mounted on new rims from 21 inches and a electronic rear differential limited slip. This way, the EV9 GT should not only be faster in a straight line, but also better handling in corners than normal AWD versions.

On an aesthetic level, however, in addition to the exclusive 21-inch wheels, the new sports version stands out visually for the various dedicated external finishes, such as the Expanded daytime LEDs also to the grille area, and for the numerous internal details in Lime Green, combined in the latter case with particular, more containing sports seats covered in Alcantara.
It also has virtual gearbox
Moving on to the electronic part, then, another very interesting accessory that the company has decided to install on the new EV9 GT is the Virtual Gear Shift (VGS), or the dual-clutch automatic gearbox simulator inherited from its “cousin” Ioniq 5 N, which is able to imitate the sound and “kicks” of a traditional engine when you press the paddles of the automatic gearbox to up or down of relationship.
