Kia Proceed is discontinued

According to Autocar, the Kia Proceed has been withdrawn from the Korean company’s line in the UK due to poor sales.

Kia has confirmed it is “streamlining” the Ceed model range to “focus on the most popular models”. Proceed accounted for a “relatively small portion” of Ceed sales, the company said.

The Ceed in hatchback and estate form, as well as the Xceed, will remain on sale, the latter accounting for 47% of all sales of the “Ceed family” in the UK.

Kia Proceed

In a statement, the company said: “The Proceed was an important model for Kia in the compact family car segment, highlighting Kia’s strength for quality, practicality and eye-catching design.

“However, right-hand drive versions of the Proceed represent only a relatively small proportion of overall Ceed production and sales.”

Current Proceed orders will be honored, the firm confirmed, and the cars are still available from stock.
