Singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong (38), formerly of the group SS501, revealed his current status after returning to farming.
On the 17th, a video titled ‘I’m screwed (EP.15 No answer)’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘KIM HYUN JOONG.official’.
In the video that day, Kim Hyun-joong headed to the cornfield with a full heart. Kim Hyun-joong, who discovered fallen corn, said, “This is a big deal. They’ve all fallen.” He then said, “This is so miserable. What do I do?” and started cleaning up the cornfield.
“The corn is all down right now. The rainy season came this week and the corn was destroyed terribly,” he explained.
He continued, “I’ll try to fix it first. I’ll only build up what I can build up,” and “I’ll only raise the strong ones. There are also some things that have fallen down because I tried to survive,” expressing his regret.
The village head, upon seeing this, analyzed the reason why Kim Hyun-joong failed in corn farming, saying, “Because we gave him too much fertilizer, the corn only grew taller.”
Earlier in May, Kim Hyun-joong revealed that he was growing corn on land in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, which he had purchased around 2007 but failed to invest in due to a significant drop in land value.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-joong debuted as a member of SS501 in 2005. In 2009, he played the role of the handsome ‘Yoon Ji-hoo’ in the KBS 2TV drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’, which caused a syndrome, and rose to the ranks of Hallyu stars, enjoying great popularity throughout Asia.
He married a non-celebrity of the same age in February 2022 and had a son in October of the same year. His wife is Kim Hyun-joong’s first love, whom he met when he was 14.
