The family comedy film ‘Big Family’ (directed by Yang Woo-seok) presents a promotional video for the grand opening of Pyeongman-ok with a unique concept.

On the 8th, distributor Lotte Entertainment released a special advertising video promoting Pyeongman-ok, which is an important background in ‘Big Family’.

‘Big Family’ is a family comedy about the owner of a dumpling restaurant, ‘Pyeong Man-ok’ (played by Kim Yun-seok), who lost his wages due to his son (played by Seung-gi Lee), who became a monk, and ends up living together in an unexpected and amazing way when cute grandchildren he has never seen before come to visit him.

The video released this time consists of introductions that reveal the secret of the special taste of Pyeongmanok, a long-established restaurant in Jongno run by Ham Moo-ok (played by Kim Yun-seok), a dumpling master for 38 years.

The video, which has a concept that could appear during local cable TV commercials, attracts attention as all the actors responsible for the buzzing chemistry of ‘Big Family’, including Kim Yun-seok, Lee Seung-gi, Kim Seong-ryeong, Kang Han-na, and Park Soo-young, appear. “Organic green onions, domestic pork, and delicious dumpling skin, all in one bowl! Pyeongman-ok! The former actor seriously digested the line, “Nokdujeon is a service,” raising curiosity. In particular, Kim Yun-seok, who plays the role of the superintendent of Pyeongman-ok, shows even more persuasiveness by claiming that Pyeongman-ok is a truly delicious restaurant while holding actual green onions and pork.

Director Yang Woo-seok of ‘The Attorney’ and ‘Steel Rain’ said, “Actor Kim Yun-seok actually took a class with a dumpling expert on set. As filming progressed, there was talk among the staff, ‘Is this enough to run a dumpling restaurant?’ “I was so serious about the dumplings that it came out,” he said, conveying the atmosphere at the scene.

‘Big Family’ will be released in theaters on December 11th.
