“Kingdom of Judas”, the film directed and performed by the talented Sabina Lisievici, will arrive in early 2025 in North America, where it will be available on streaming platforms. Released in Romania in April 2024, the film entered the history of domestic cinema as the first Romanian film with an exclusively Romanian cast, spoken in English and thus fulfilled its mission to conquer the international market.
A captivating thriller with strong accents, “Kingdom of Judas” tells the story of Anna Blaga (played by Sabina Lisievici), in a world full of moral dilemmas and intense personal confrontations. The cast of the film brings together well-known names and debut actors such as Oana Cârmaciu, Bogdan Iacob, Daria Ghițu, Adi Gheo, Oana Dragne, Raluca Ghervan, George Damare, Cătălin Nicolau, Oltin Hurezeanu, Teodora Păcurar, Vinicius Moldovan, Adrian Ciglenean, Marcela Motoc, Mihai Dulea , Gabriela Enescu, Sophie Vărzaru, Sofia Vasiliu and the famous fighter Sandu Lungu.
Sabina Lisievicithe director and protagonist of the film, said: “It is an honor to have the opportunity to take this film, born from the talent and dedication of the Romanian actors, to the international stage. We worked for about four years until we finalized it, both within my production company Saroafilm, together with my colleague Daria Ghițu, but also at Chainsaw Europe, the largest post-production company in South-Eastern Europe, where I had a part the support of my mentor, Viorel Chesaru.”

“Kingdom of Judas” was produced by the company Saroafilm, in co-production with Chainsaw Europe. It was distributed in Romania by Saroafilm, and in North America it will be distributed through the collaboration with The Movie Agency and the international distributor The Burning Bulb.
