Kinsky will be ready against Liverpool, the Tottenham coach confirmed

London – Football goalkeeper Antonín Kinský could make his debut in the Tottenham jersey three days after his transfer from Slavia Prague. Coach Ange Postecoglou for the club web confirmed that the new signing will be available for Wednesday’s League Cup semi-final first leg with Liverpool. The 21-year-old goalkeeper has been training with the Roosters since Monday.

Kinsky obtained the necessary work permit on Monday, which was a necessary prerequisite for completing all the formalities. “The new signing is fit and available for the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg with Liverpool. The goalkeeper who joined us from Slavia Prague on Sunday is registered and is now fighting for his role in the big game against the Reds,” announced Tottenham.

The member of the Czech national team signed a contract until 2031. The clubs did not comment on the financial conditions, according to the BBC, the amount is around 12.5 million pounds (roughly 379 million crowns). The renowned server transfermarkt.de reports the sum of 16 million euros (almost 403 million crowns).

The native of Prague is not guaranteed to start on Wednesday, but the circumstances are favorable. “Spurs” lost their number one goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario broke his ankle and will be out of the game at least until April. His place was taken by Fraser Forster and his replacement was Brandon Austin, but Forster is suffering from illness. Staff-starved Austin made his Premier League debut in a 1-2 home defeat to Newcastle on Saturday.

That’s why Tottenham realized the transfer of Kinski very quickly.

The semi-finals of the League Cup are played over two legs, the second leg in Liverpool is scheduled for February 6. The second pair consists of Arsenal and Newcastle.
