KIOXIA has presented the EXCERIA PLUS G2 to renew your storage offer. It is about the second generation of your external SSD and, maintaining size and performance, it is even smaller and lighter than the original version.
Modern external SSDs are great for carrying data on the go and using it on any device thanks to a widely used port like USB. And if, in addition to being external, it is as portable as the model in question, all the better because it makes it easier to use and carry in a pocket.
EXCERIA PLUS G2, more and better
The unit has been redesigned to reduce its dimensions to 72 x 40 x 11.8 mm and make it even thinner and lighter (42g). A compact, elegant and practical design, which is reinforced with a aluminum chassis that supports the MIL-STD military standard to improve its resistance against bumps and falls. Kioxia says it also allows for better heat dissipation, especially during heavier workloads.
The unit installs Kioxia’s own BiCS FLASH 3D memories with vertical stacking to maintain the compact size and be able to increase the capacity up to 2 Tbytes. Externally, it sports a modern USB Type-C port, while internally, it supports interfaces such as USB2, USB 3 and USB 3.2 Gen2 where maximum performance is obtained, estimable values of 1,050 / 1,000 Mbytes per second in sequential read/write.
The manufacturer includes several cables with the unit, USB-C and also another USB-A to increase compatibility. And it really can be used with any type of device, from mobile phones to personal computers, tablets or video game consoles. It is compatible from the factory with Windows, macOS, iPadOS or Android operating systems, although as we said it will work on almost any computer with a USB port since version 2.0.
The EXCERIA PLUS G2 will be available in three versions depending on their storage capacity, 512 GB, 1 y 2 Tbytes. The unit has a three-year warranty and has free KIOXIA SSD Utility management software.
