Law & Justice. On Friday, the Södertörn district court sentenced gang leader Ismail Abdo’s prosecutor cousin Rahima Ortac for breach of confidentiality after she leaked sensitive information about a murder investigation to her relatives. The woman thus risks dismissal from the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The sentence, which entails 50 daily fines, is the latest of several scandals surrounding the immigrant clans’ close ties to Swedish authorities and the Swedish judiciary.
The incident relates to a homicide investigation from Tumba in 2022 where Ortac was the lead investigator and shared details such as the victim, the location and the shooter’s hit photo via a chat with a relative.
In addition, she has sent photos of classified documents about a serious gun crime to another family member. The accused said in questioning that it was all harmless. The district court also states that it is rather a case of poor judgment than an attempt to help criminals.
The prosecutor is the cousin of wanted gang leader Ismail Abdo from the so-called Kurdish fox network Foxtrot, which makes the situation particularly sensitive.
The state’s responsibility committee, which decides on possible dismissal, has not announced how they stand on the matter, writes TT.
