Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy will face a very difficult period in the coming months, warned the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaly Klitschko.
Speaking to the Italian news portal Corriere della Sera, Vitali Klitschko said that the Ukrainian president will have to make difficult decisions that could lead to “political suicide.”
He warned that Zelensky may have to call a referendum in Ukraine if there is a territorial compromise with Russia.
– The coming months will be very difficult for Vladimir Zelenski – he said.
– Will he have to continue the war with new deaths and destruction or consider the possibility of a territorial compromise with Putin – he asked himself and added:
– Whatever move he makes, our president risks political suicide. Let’s be honest, we have to win the war, but the situation is getting more difficult. It depends on the help of allies. It would be a nightmare if we had to fight for two more years.
