Jürgen Klopp has become the new head of Red Bull’s football department. According to the DPA agency, the 57-year-old coach had signed a multi-year contract with the company and will start his new job on January 1, 2025. The information has already been officially confirmed by the Austrian organization.

Klopp won the title and the Champions League with Liverpool.

The German helmsman will be responsible for the international network of all football clubs under the auspices of Red Bull, but will not interfere in the day-to-day activities of individual clubs.

These include RB Leipzig, Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, Bragantino (Brazil) and Omiya Ardija (Japan).

The company also acquired shares in the English Leeds United.

“I am excited about this opportunity. I see my role primarily as a mentor to the coaches and management of the Red Bull clubs,” said the 57-year-old coach, according to the AFP agency.

Klopp left the Liverpool FC bench in the summer after nine years. However, he had already announced that he would not accept any coaching position for the year.
