There was a lot of politics involved. Through diplomatic efforts, we managed to get the issue of the Recovery Plan off the streets to the negotiating table. We convinced the EU that the amendment to the criminal law is not against the rules for the protection of the interests of the Union. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Peter Kmec (Voice) in the program Ide o pravdu.
At the October session of the parliament, some other provisions should be amended in relation to the amendment to the Criminal Code. This was said by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Recovery Plan, Peter Kmec, stating that the adjustments will primarily concern changes in penalty rates. He added that the government was finally able to satisfy the demands of the European Commission, which on the basis of that released money from the fourth request for payment from the Recovery Plan. 800 million should land on the account of the Ministry of Finance on October 31.
The show also said:
- for which 800 million euros will be used from the Recovery Plan
