This is a short-form Korean-Chinese joint production drama. <프린세스 메이커> (Planned/produced by Viable Company, HL Company/Directed by Lee Jae-young/Script by Lim Jong-min, Kang Ye-eun) is a fantasy romance about a female student with low self-esteem due to her ugly appearance who meets Wang Yeo-ryeong, a historical figure with mysterious abilities, becomes an influencer, and gains the special ability to see the before and after of someone’s makeover just by touching them.
On this day, the main cast of the drama gathered in one place for the script reading, including actors Chae Soo-ah (as Han Yeo-ul), Lee Woo-tae (as Lee Hoe-yeon), Kim So-ha (as Han Soo-yeon), Kim Dong-seok (as Shin Tae-yoon), Nam Da-reum (as Gun-woo), Kang Ha-na (as Hong Young-ki), Jung Kyung-ho (as Hyeong-soo), Yoo Chae-ryeon (as Kwon Ji-yu), Lee Se-ip (as Kim Se-na), So-wol (as So-wol), and Goo Jin-joo (as Park Jin-joo). However, Chinese actor Wang Hong (Wang Weizhi, 2 million followers), who plays Wang Yeo-ryeong, was unable to attend the script reading in Hangzhou, China, but plans to practice chemistry in Korea and China before filming.

Viable Company announced that the upcoming Korean-Chinese joint global short-form drama ‘Princess Maker’ will be launched domestically with the Chinese market as the main target, as well as in Southeast Asian markets (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia). It is currently in the final pre-production stage, and is scheduled to begin filming in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do in August.
