European countries are afraid of Russia’s reaction to the growth of their involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

– They are afraid because the Russian side has openly announced what our reaction could be to such a sudden increase in their involvement in the conflict – said Peskov for “Izvestia”, when asked if the latest news from foreign media might indicate a change in the attitude of European countries towards the conflict .

Peskov also pointed out that the rhetoric of the West has not changed – the countries continue to support Kiev and are actually directly and indirectly involved in the conflict in Ukraine.

Let us recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed at the session of the Security Council on nuclear containment that a series of clarifications be made regarding the conditions for the use of nuclear weapons.

Putin pointed out that Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression against it, among other things, if the enemy uses conventional weapons – if this poses a threat to the vital interests of the state.
