Kusti Salmi’s deputy Kaimo Kuusk about slow decision-making: oh hell, it makes me swear!

The candidate for the new chancellor of the Ministry of Defense, former Ukrainian ambassador Kaimo Kuusk, plans to boost the defense industry here.

Kuusk acknowledged that he would be disappointed if the domestic defense industry does not improve during his tenure. “Major investors expect four years of project approvals and approvals from us, one year in Scandinavia. What is this stuff? I would be disappointed if we can’t make it much, much shorter,” said Kuusk. “Big projects take an insanely long time to get started at all.”
