On Wednesday November 6, La Poste obtained the renewal of the Diversity Label, certified by AFNOR Certification for its Services-Mail-Parcels branch. This label, officially presented by Violaine Trajan, head of institutional relations at AFNOR to Philippe Dorge, DGA of the La Poste group, in charge of the Services-Mail-Parcels branch, highlights the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Initially awarded to the Services-Mail-Parcels branch of La Poste in 2019, the AFNOR diversity label was renewed this year for the second time. Il allows us to certify that the recruitment, integration and career development processes of employees are not likely to cause discrimination. The label also motivates the company to respect its commitments, measure its results and continue to progress. This ceremony took place on the Boulogne-Billancourt site (92), fully committed to professional reintegration thanks to a local partnership with the Humando agency.
For Philippe Dorge, CEO of the La Poste group, in charge of the Services-Mail-Parcels branch, “ I am very happy with the renewal of our diversity label which is the result of rigorous collective work. This label is for us a mark of trust, a way to recognize the exemplary nature of our practices and it encourages us to do even more in favor of diversity and inclusion. »
Violaine Trajan, head of institutional relations at AFNOR Certification, declares, “ We are particularly proud to renew La Poste’s Diversity Label for its Services-Mail-Parcels branch. This label embodies La Poste’s constant commitment to inclusive practices and processes free of discrimination. Congratulations to the teams who make this label an essential pillar of inclusion and a lever to improve the quality of life at work for postal workers. »
A partnership serving inclusion with Humando
In 2022, the Boulogne-Billancourt establishment (covering 5 municipalities in the south of Hauts-de-Seine) wanted to diversify its recruitment methods by transforming its entire temporary workforce through integration action, in line with La Poste’s social and environmental responsibility. For this, she approached Humando, a temporary integration work company (ETTI) in order to establish a partnership in favor of social reintegration for people far from the labor market.
These people thus benefit from a second chance with personalized support.including in particular a three-week understudy phase with a dedicated tutor, to facilitate their integration and the acquisition of the skills necessary for the postman’s profession. Since the launch of this program, nearly 80 temporary workers have been recruited via Humando for postman positions at the Boulogne-Billancourt mail establishment and 4 of them were able to obtain a permanent contract.
La Poste’s commitments to diversity and inclusion
On a daily basis, La Poste recruits people of all ages: the youngest, with 4,800 work-study students and 4,000 interns welcomed in 2023, and postal workers over 50 who represent 49% of its workforce. With nearly 53% women, La Poste also has a proactive policy in favor of professional equality. For example, it has devoted an envelope of 2 million euros over the past 5 years to guaranteeing equal pay. La Poste is the leading employer of disabled people in France with more than 14,000 employees affected.representing an employment rate of 9.33% in 2023.
Finally, the group supports caregivers with 5,200 postal workers who benefit from several schemes as part of the Carers Social Agreement signed in July 2024 with all trade union organizations, and which thus makes it possible to better reconcile professional and personal life ( a carer solidarity fund, special absence authorizations, greater flexibility on working hours, etc.).
