La Reboucle expands its second-hand offering

La Redoute’s second-hand product sales marketplace exceeds 50,000 items available. One year after its redesign, this broad product offering demonstrates the growing success of La Reboucle.

One year after its repositioning, La Redoute’s second-hand sales service reaches the milestone of 50,000 products offered on the La Reboucle platform. It was in a context of inflation and erosion of purchasing power that the retailer had evolved its second-hand product sales service towards a marketplace model entirely dedicated to professional sellers.

A year later, this strategy seems to be winning: partners and customers are there and testify to the success of this new positioning, which aims to offer a service that complies with e-commerce standards. Indeed, customers benefit from verified products and the possibility of returning items within 30 days. Moreover, Guaranteed quality is a priority for the third largest decoration and home equipment e-commerce site in France. Each item offered is in good or very good condition, or even new. For Amélie Poisson, deputy general manager of La Redoute, the retailer is “on the right track to establish a strong and differentiating position in the second-hand market with the quality of service from La Redoute.”

An expansion of the offer reflecting growth in sales

The second-hand offering has therefore doubled in one year to reach the milestone of 50,000 products in the areas of home, women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, and more recently, in the high-tech sector. In fact, theThe platform recently integrated Recommerce, a member of the United.b ecosystem (Boulanger, Electro Dépôt, Krefel…), which offers La Reboucle customers a selection of reconditioned high-tech products. The brand specifies that other partners should soon join the platform.

The expansion of the offer echoes the increase in the volume of customers, which is also twice as large as a year ago. These results seem to confirm the growth of the second-hand market, become an economical and ecological alternative highly appreciated by French consumers.
