Lady Gaga, here in 2023, will make an appearance in season 2 of the series “Wednesday” on Netflix.
SERIES – Lady Gaga for real. The American press revealed this Wednesday, November 13 that the American singer and actress was going to make an appearance in the ultra-popular Netflix series Wednesdayinspired by the Addams Family and directed in part by Tim Burton.
The arrival of the superstar, recently featured in Joker: Folie à deux with Joaquin Phoenix, is obvious: his song Bloody Mary, on which Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) dances in episode 4 of the first season, experienced a second youth thanks to the series. The song dating from 2011 and the choreography went viral on social networks.
Jenna Ortega was previously interviewed by Variety on a possible appearance of Lady Gaga in the series. “I’m sure Netflix would love it” for her to be in the show, she replied. The trade magazine contacted Netflix and the singer, who did not respond to confirm the information.
Wednesday Addams returns to Nevermore Academy
American media including Deadline et Entertainment Weekly do not specify what the role of the singer will be. Variety claims for her part that Lady Gaga should make a cameo. The sources who revealed this information specify that the production tried to convince the superstar to have a more important role, but that it did not work.
Season 1 of the series, which broke the record for viewing time in one week, tells the story of the only daughter of the Addams family who becomes a teenager and attends a very special school called Nevermore Academy. While she tries (with difficulty) to integrate with the other students, murders occur and threaten the inhabitants of the town. The teenager with a jaded look then decides to investigate.
The plot of season 2 is not yet known, but filming is underway in Ireland. Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Wednesday’s mother Mortica Addams, has said she will “bigger and crazier than you can imagine.”
