A year ago we told you about the Diablo Eccentricaa restomod that takes some elements from the various editions of Diablo produced between 1990 and 2001.
Born thanks to the entrepreneur Emanuel Colombini (collector, driver in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship and founder of the Eccentric Carsa startup based in San Marino), in collaboration with BorromeodeSilva and various partners (including Pirelli, Brembo, Marantz, Capristo and Alcantara), the Diablo Eccentrica, replicated in just 19 units, will be at the Monterey Car Weekscheduled in the United States from August 9 to 18, 2024.
How could we forget Diablo?
The Diablo, produced from 1990 to 2001, was the heir to the Countach and anticipated the Murcielago. Launched when Chrysler owned Lamborghini, 2,884 units were produced, equipped with a 5.7-liter or 6.0-liter V12 engine and a five-speed manual transmission.
The BorromeodeSilva design studio played a key role in enhancing the personality of the Diablo and preserving its iconic character in the Eccentrica. The restomod retains the classic design, but uses composite materials and a reinforced and tempered tubular steel frame.
One of the outstanding features of the Eccentrica are, for example, the pop-up headlightspresent on the first versions of the Diablo and then replaced by fixed projectors. The interiors, likewise, combine the minimalism of the 90s with the most advanced technology.
