An alarm was sounded shortly after 9 pm on Wednesday at the Larissa Fire Service after a call about a fire at a gas station at 110 Iroon Polytechniou Street.
According to information from ERT, when a tanker was supplying the tanks of the gas station and the intense fumes ignited, a fire broke out, fortunately of a small area, which was extinguished immediately with a fire extinguisher, before it spread. An employee of the gas station suffered minor burns from the fire and rushed to the emergency room of the University Hospital.

Four Fire Department vehicles arrived at the scene and immediately cordoned off the gas station area for safety reasons, without however having to intervene, while police officers were also on the scene. The ignition also caused damage to the laundry area where a car was located.
For some time there was unrest, the traffic in Iroon Polytechneiou was obstructed while the neighbors took to the street in fear.
