At first, A Quiet Place: Day One seemed like a rather unnecessary prequel to John Krasinski’s sci-fi horror film hit. However, director Michael Sarnoski managed to pleasantly surprise and served last summer’s best sci-fi movie.
Quiet place: Päivä ihinn, which is already available for rent and sale, can also be watched in a few weeks on the monthly paid streaming service; SkyShowtime has promised to release the film for streaming exclusively on Tuesday, December 17.
Starring Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn and Djimon Hounsou, Day One tells, as the name suggests, how the myopic space devils arrived on Earth:
“Samira’s (Lupita Nyong’o) homecoming to New York turns into a nightmare when mysterious creatures chasing voices attack. Together with her cat Frodo and a surprising ally (Joseph Quinn), Samira must embark on a dangerous journey through a suddenly silent city, where silence is a condition for survival.”
In Muropaket’s review, A quiet place: Day one got four stars out of five.
