Laura Karasek will host further episodes of the “NDR Quiz Show”. The 42-year-old wrote on Instagram. “Proud and happy to announce: the quiz show continues! With EVEN MORE episodes. With even more content, even more enjoyment, even more taste. For our playful instincts. I’m so excited. Your Quiz-Lauri.”
Karasek succeeded Jörg Pilawa in November 2022. “I love quiz shows, I’ve always enjoyed taking part as a candidate or just guessing at home. It was always my big dream to host a quiz show myself,” she said at the time, according to a statement. It is a great honor to now be the host of this traditional show. The author and presenter is the daughter of the literary critic Hellmuth Karasek (1934-2015).
Die „NDR Quiz Show“ – Sundays at 10.45 p.m. – is considered the longest-running quiz show in Germany alongside “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” It was the first regional quiz on German television around 25 years ago. Before Karasek, the show was hosted by Ludger Abeln, Carlo von Tiedemann, Alexander Bommes and Jörg Pilawa. Five male and female candidates from each of the five northern German states compete in the show.
