League Phase Champions League: Arsenal won (2-0) in the derby with Paris, Dortmund scored seven goals (7-1) at Celtic!

With seven games, the competitive action in the 2nd matchday of the League Phase of the Champions League continued on Tuesday night, the curtain of which opened earlier with Brest’s deafening (4-0) away victory over Salzburg and the draw (1-1 ) of Stuttgart with Sparta Prague in Germany.

The big favorites, Manchester City (4-0 Slovan), Barcelona (5-0 Young Boys) and Inter (4-0 Red Star) “opened an account” in the 2nd matchday of the competition, which offered 32 goals in the first of “plate”.

A big “responsibility” for this was Dortmund, who made the 2X2 “sweeping” Celtic 7-1, while the derby of the evening at the “Emirates” turned out to be… on paper, with Arsenal easily beating Paris Saint-Germain (2-0). “Two out of two” for Bayer Leverkusen as well, which won 1-0 against Milan in tonight’s other big match.

City and Barcelona made sure to “clean up” early on their matches against Slovan Bratislava (4-0) and Young Boys (5-0) respectively, with the “Blaugrana” reacting immediately after the “heavy” -first- defeat in La Liga from Osasuna (4-2).

Anthem and Dortmund were on fire at the Signal Induna Park, with the 22-year-old German international striker scoring a hat-trick and the Westphalian thrashing Celtic 7-1, scoring 5 goals in the first 45 minutes. Two in two for Nuri Sahin’s side, who ‘partyed’ against the Scottish champions, who looked like they had lost it.

Derby… on paper it was between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain. The “gunners” took advantage of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s tragic night, scored twice in the first 45 minutes and from then on, with proper management, achieved their first victory, after the 0-0 draw in the premiere with Atalanta.

Leverkusen, with Boniface’s goal, made it 2X2 in the tournament by beating Milan 1-0, which after two matches still has no point (it was defeated 3-1 by Liverpool in the premiere), while Eindhoven, although it was better , conceded a home draw to hitherto unbeaten in all competitions, Sporting Lisbon (1-1).
