The strategy game Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness looks to be getting a remastered edition. The data is based on a collection of images shared on Xwhere both the cover and the logo for the new old game are visible.

Currently, the information is limited to this leak and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. On November 13, Blizzard will hold a Direct event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the game series and it is possible that they will reveal the game during the event. It also wouldn’t be the first time we get a new version of a Warcraft game.
In 2020, Blizzard released Warcraft 3: Reforgeda remake of the classic strategy game. However, unlike the original, Reforged was a disappointment, as several changes were made – from iconic scenes in the game to changed user agreements for mods.
Whether Warcraft 2 Remastered is confirmed and whether it will be as big a disappointment as Reforged remains to be seen.
