Leapmotor B10: the electric SUV arriving in Europe thanks to Stellantis

Leapmotor, the young Chinese car manufacturer, has officially made its debut in Europe, including the Italian market. This happens thanks to a strategic agreement with StellantisThat acquired a significant 21% stake in the companyeffectively turning it into one of its brands. With this move, Stellantis intends to strengthen its presence in the electric car sector, focusing on innovative and accessible models.

I early Leapmotor models landing in European dealerships is the electric city car Leap engine T03 and the electric SUV Leap motor C10. But the joint venture’s ambitious plan doesn’t stop there: Stellantis has planned to launch at least one new Leapmotor model per year for the next three years. The next vehicle planned? The Leapmotor B10, a compact SUV that will have its world premiere during the Paris Motor Show, scheduled for October.

Leapmotor B10, what we know so far

Information on the new Leapmotor B10 is still scarce, but some details have been revealed through teasers released by the automaker. This is an SUV that will be positioned below the C10 model, recently introduced on the European market. With similar dimensions to the BMW X1, the B10 should measure approximately 4.5 meters long. The model will be built on the new B platform, based on the advanced Leap 3.5 architecturewhich will also be used for other future global models.

From the teasers released, some stylistic details of the B10 emerge: a front characterized by thin daytime running lights and circular headlights, handles integrated flush with the bodywork and a small rear spoiler that adds a sporty touch. At the moment, no official information has been provided on the technical specifications, but some sources suggest that the B10 could share many features with the A12 model, previously spotted in testing.

Il Expected price for the Leapmotor B10 in China will fluctuate between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan, i.e approximately 12,700 – 19,100 eurosmaking it a competitive option in the electric SUV landscape.
