There have been many special versions of the Nissan GT-R in the past, and fans of the R33 generation should like the project from Australia.
It is one of 87 copies of the R33 N1 chassis, which is a bit lighter, the engine is prepared for racing, the design elements are borrowed from the 400R model, while there is no ABS. It is powered by the RB26 engine, which is tuned to more than 800 HP.
The car is a project of Australian tuner Andrew Hannason and his team from Legendary Garage, which they have been working on for three years. It is actually the N1, which received the original bumpers from the 400R model, side skirts and diffuser, and the hood with ventilation openings and the carbon rear wing are also original, he says. Each N1 was painted in the QM1 white color that characterizes the car in the photos, and Hannason even acquired Rays Nismo LM1 GT1 five-spoke wheels, which he decorated with blue details.
As for the engine, it has the original N1 block, but has been given forged internals, i.e. parts from aftermarket brands such as HKS and PRP. That’s why under the hood there are two more powerful turbochargers, a larger intercooler and titanium valves.
There are no details about the performance, but it is known that the standard R33 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and reaches a maximum of 251 km/h. However, Hannason’s car is definitely faster.
The R33 was the first production car to complete a lap of the Nürburgring in less than eight minutes. Nevertheless, the mentioned modifications should bring it closer to the time of the modern R35 model.
Inside are the original 400R front seats, steering wheel and floor mats.
The car will be offered for sale in the coming period.
