Since November 14, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC players can discover a new LEGO game that is improbable to say the least. The franchise universe Horizon was exported in a family spin-off made entirely of bricks and playable on competing platforms. Although the Xbox is excluded from the equation, it is still surprising to discover a PlayStation license on Nintendo Switch. At any rate, LEGO Horizon Adventures turns out to be a rather nice adaptation of Aloy’s world, even if the new recipe does not manage to be as effective as the previous ones.
is not LEGO Star Wars who wants, but Sony and the Danish brick manufacturer have not said their last word. In fact, their collaboration dates back even before the launch of this funny game. A construction bearing the image of the Great Neck, an emblematic creature of the game, was marketed in May 2022. Two years and a LEGO game later, here is came a second set inspired by this universe and which turns out to be much more affordable than its predecessor.
An ideal gift to extend the video game experience
Since LEGO Horizon Adventures claims to be a family experience, it is not surprising to see the arrival of a construction set designed for a younger audience. The new box “Aloy and Varl against Testudien and Sawtooth” suitable for children aged 9 and over according to the instructions given by the brand. There are two minifigures – one of Aloy and one of Varl – as well as two creatures taken from the game and some decorative elements to a total of 768 pieces.
Unlike the Grand-cou set formerly billed at €89.99, this new, more modest kit will “only” cost €44.99. That’s 20€ less than the game LEGO Horizon Adventures. But we will have to wait before we can discover these bricks. Indeed, release from the box is scheduled for March 1, 2025. Will the children have time to tire of the game by then? LEGO and PlayStation must certainly count on adult collectors who will be able to accompany their Great Neck with these few additional elements. Please note that it is already possible to pre-order the set from the LEGO online store.
