Lenovo pulled off a rollable laptop at CES 2025

Previous speculations have been confirmed, Lenovo is indeed launching a laptop with a rollable display. ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 can expand its display from 14 to 16.7 inches.

Even before the CES trade fair, speculations about a laptop with a rollable display, which is to be presented by Lenovo, were everywhere on the Internet. There is nothing special about it, we have seen many such concepts before. But this couch should have been available normally, not some kind of concept. And hey, she’s really right. ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 can expand its 14-inch OLED screen up to 16.7 inches. At the same time, the resolution will also change from 2000 × 1600 to 2000 × 2350.

One of the cool features is the ThinkBook Workspace app, which helps make efficient use of the added desktop. Here, users can attach widgets with a list of tasks, start a virtual monitor, etc. The base of the laptop itself is somewhat more robust than that of ordinary work laptops. It is almost 2 cm thick and weighs only 1.69 Kg. The device is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with up to 64GB of RAM and offers three M.2 slots.

The rollable OLED display offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of 400 nits and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The notebook also includes state-of-the-art technologies such as Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 or Copilot+ PC functions. Lenovo plans to launch in the first quarter of 2025 with a price starting at $3,499. For almost 85,000 CZK, it’s a real steal, of course, cool functions and fluff in front of colleagues at work. But the rest of the parameters are not worth 85,000 CZK by any chance. Well, we will have to wait for new technology to overtake this one and make it cheaper.
