Infanta Sofía gave her all this Sunday in the Euro Cup final and enjoyed the victory of the national team from the box with Felipe VI. A day later, the youngest daughter of the King and Queen has once again demonstrated her love of football with the King and Queen and Princess Leonor, who welcomed the team at Zarzuela this afternoon.
Their names did not appear on the royal family’s agenda, but just as they did in 2010 after winning the World Cup, Leonor and Sofia greeted the players wearing the national team’s shirts, both with the number 10 and their names on the back, and white trousers.
Leonor and Sofia have not left any detail of their style to chance and, in addition to the t-shirt, they also wore Joma sneakers with the colors of the flag and an inscription of ‘Spain’ on the sole.
The Princess of Asturias and the Infanta greeted the players and members of the coaching staff one by one, took a family photo with the entire team and then chatted with the entire delegation in the Zarzuela Gardens with their parents.
Unlike on Sunday night, when she preferred not to lift the cup, Infanta Sofia did not hesitate to accept the trophy this evening alongside Princess Leonor.
Queen Letizia, who was also absent from the Berlin final, also wanted to pay tribute to the national team as is her custom and chose a red dress to match Felipe VI’s tie.
The King took the opportunity to once again thank the national team’s players for their victory. The captain, Álvaro Morata, also dedicated a few words to the monarch for the support he had given throughout the tournament and gave him a commemorative shirt with the inscription ‘kings of Europe’, which reminds us that Spain is the only team to have won the European Championship four times.
