Leroy Merlin deploys an energy renovation diagnostic simulator

At the forefront of energy renovation, the DIY brand Leroy Merlin is deploying its renovation diagnostic simulator.

The DIY brand Leroy Merlin continues to position itself in the energy renovation sector. For this, eIt deploys an energy diagnosis simulator, available on its site since September. In just a few clicks, consumers can estimate the work needed to improve the performance of their home.

The simulator allows you to quickly and easily estimate the rating of an accommodation, from A to Z. To do this, it provides a questionnaire on ventilation, insulation or even heating, proposes an evaluation of the energy and GHG labels (greenhouse gas emissions) then, it identifies and notes the areas of loss then recommends a renovation scenario accompanied by the expected gains in terms of energy saving and GHG reduction . Once the diagnosis has been carried out, the Leroy Merlin teams are able to take over to advise and support customers throughout their project, from finding financing to carrying out the work, including the administrative procedures necessary for the completion. Obtaining available public aid.

For the brand, this tool is only a first step. In fact, the simulator does not yet make it possible to estimate the cost of the recommended renovations. In the coming months, it will include the costing of the work but also the aid available.

An extra step

This diagnostic simulator is just an additional step in Leroy Merlin’s strategy, which wants to tackle the subject of energy renovation and become the leading retailer. To carry out this project to support 3 million households suffering from energy poverty in these renovation projects, the brand has been authorized by the National Housing Agency (Anah) since 2020 to directly deduct state aid.

Since then, it has multiplied initiatives to support its clients in their renovation projects, such as the creation of the profession of “Energy Renovation Manager”, the launch of a dedicated hotline run by experts, the organization of “Energy Renovation Days” in storesn or the partnership with Oney BPCE to simplify the financing of the work.
