The Restos du Coeur association has decided, in collaboration with its Change agency, to address the subject of child poverty in its latest campaign accompanied by the voice of Marseille singer Soprano.
In France, more than 163 million meals were distributed by Restos du Coeur and 1.3 million people were welcomed this year. Among them, almost a quarter are single-parent families, a particularly vulnerable group on which the association has decided to focus its new campaign, focused on child poverty.
To emphasize this dramatic subject, the advertising film directed by French composer Pablo Padovani traces the daily life of a mother and her daughter, embodying the thousands of people faced with the ordeal of poverty in France. From the first shots, the small family in a precarious situation is filmed in their difficult daily life.
A poignant song performed by Soprano
A wall then appears in front of the two characters, symbolizing the impasse in which millions of people find themselves in France. This is where the message “at the back of the wall there is always hope” appears on the screen, with volunteers helping them.
To accompany the film, Soprano places his voice on an instrumental from beatmaker Ghost Killer Track, whose music lyrics illustrate the difficult trials against which the heirs of Coluche are struggling. A message that embodies the priorities of this campaign: continuing to fight tirelessly against poverty, while calling for the mobilization of all.
