Ode Pešić: Let the future management look for a new coach
Svetislav Pešić confirmed that he will no longer be the coach of the Serbian basketball team.
In an interview for Politika, he said that those responsible, that is, the future management of the Basketball Association of Serbia, should look for a new coach.
“The president of KSS, Predrag Danilović, resigned. As I understood, he did it to enable the new leadership of the federation to form a new professional staff and goals at the beginning of the new Olympic cycle. As for me personally, even before Paris I announced that someone else should continue what I started. “Since I see that some did not hear me well, I am now telling them that those responsible – those who will lead KSS in the future – should know that, among other things, they have to look for a new coach,” said Pešić.
He added that “he will always be available to Serbian basketball”, but that he will turn to other goals and projects for which he did not have time because, as he says, he was at the service of the Serbian national team 24 hours a day.

The Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS) expressed its gratitude to the former coach of the Serbian national team for everything he did for the national team.
“For everything done for the Serbian national team, as well as domestic basketball globally, KSS thanks Svetislav Pešić and wishes him a lot of happiness and joy in the years ahead,” KSS said in a statement.
