LG Electronics has presented its vision of “Affective Intelligence” at the LG World Premiere event, held today in Las Vegas, on the eve of CES 2025.
This initiative of LGannounced within the framework of CES 2025, seeks to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) in a more human and personalized way into the daily lives of users, ranging from the home to mobility and commercial spaces.
Innovation with purpose: LG’s “Caring Intelligence”
During the conference, William Cho, CEO of LG, highlighted that “Affective Intelligence” redefines the traditional understanding of AI by focusing on its potential to revolutionize the customer experience.
This concept uses AI technology to better understand and empathize with users, offering more personalized and differentiated experiences.
Three key pillars: connected devices, AI agents and integrated services
LG’s proposal is based on three main elements:
- Connected devices: Contact points that facilitate the integration of IoT solutions in the home and other environments.
- Capable AI Agents: Technologies such as the LG FURON agent, designed to interpret behavioral patterns and react in real time.
- Integrated services: A harmonious ecosystem that coordinates devices and services for a more fluid and personalized experience.
LG highlighted the importance of connected devices as touchpoints with customers, mentioning the acquisition of Athom, a smart home solutions provider, which enables seamless connectivity with IoT devices from more than 170 global brands.
FURON: The artificial intelligence that learns from you
In terms of AI agents, LG announced advancements in its LG FURON agent, which combines the power of generative AI based on broad language models with real-time spatial sensing and insights into customers’ life patterns. This innovative agent can understand user situations and contexts in real time, coordinating devices and services to provide a more tailored and responsive experience, all while protecting personal data.
A smart ecosystem that transcends the home
LG’s “Affective Intelligence” aims to transform daily life by creating an ecosystem where devices and services harmonize to generate new value for the customer. This vision ranges from the home, facilitating domestic tasks and offering personalized experiences, to mobility, integrating the car into this ecosystem to adapt to users’ daily routines.
With this initiative, LG aims to offer technological solutions that are not only advanced, but also empathetic and human-centered, improving the quality of life of its users through a warmer and more humane integration of artificial intelligence in various aspects of everyday life.
