Flexible displays have become another target of the technological shift in recent years. As LG shows, future products could offer some really interesting features.
A new display which LG Display revealed is a 12-inch concept that you can play with almost like paper. Its flexible properties are really fascinating – in addition to bending, it can also be stretched from 12 to 18 inches. This is due to the new material, or improved interconnection and type of silicon.
And what could such a display be used for? Of course, the use requires a little imagination, but LG mentions, in addition to wearable electronics, for example, the use in cars, where the display would combine touch and physical elements, as can be seen below. Unfortunately, the company did not say when it plans to turn the concept into a commercial product, or how far they want to go with the flexible display.
