LG shows off bendable 5K2K OLED display

CES is fast approaching and there is a lot to look forward to. LG announces early that they will show a new series of screens at the fair: Ultragear GX9. One of the monitors in the series, the 45GX990A, is an ultrawide gaming monitor that you can bend to adjust the curvature.

The screen has a size of 45 inches and is equipped with an OLED panel that can reach resolutions of 5K2K – or 5,120 × 2,160 pixels – and should be able to bend from a curved at 900R to become completely flat. The display also has a dual mode, which allows you to shift to a higher refresh rate with the trade-off of lowering the resolution.

The screen has an aspect ratio of 21:9.

The screen also supports HDMI 2.1, Displayport 2.1 and a USB-C connection that can deliver up to 90 W. However, other specifications are currently unknown.

More details about the display will likely emerge during the CES trade show. The launch date and the price tag of the screen are still unknown, but it is said to belong to the higher price range.
