In recent years, not only European, but also other regional traders were shocked by the inflationary effect, which brought about the rapid rise of Chinese online stores, similar to Temu, offering dumping of cheap products.

In addition to professional organizations, the “Temu phenomenon” is already being dealt with at the governmental level in more and more countries, including Hungary, as the Chinese webshop ignores some of the local laws according to complaints from local competitors.

According to PDD Holdings, which operates the webshop, the company fully complies with local regulations and supports local market players by opening its marketplace to them.
