Lightware Taurus TPN with 4K resolution

According to the manufacturer, the Lightware Taurus TPN is a state-of-the-art device for large meeting rooms, boardrooms and conference rooms. It offers USB-C and SDVoE technology for HDMI 2.0 4K60 4:4:4 matrix switching over 10G Ethernet networks with a range of up to 100 meters. Its USB 2.0 matrix switching layer supports multiple devices and offers automated and manual switching options with seamless video transitions.

Taurus TPN is designed to enable businesses in today’s hybrid environments to create an ecosystem of connected devices and displays from a single source and send content anywhere.

Switching over IP mit Gemini GVN

For larger and more complex AV installations, the Lightware Gemini GVN is a powerful IP-based matrix switching solution. GEMINI GVN operates over a 1G Ethernet network and is said to feature low power consumption (~10W) while being able to handle 4K60 4:4:4. Equipped with Lightware’s Advanced EDID Management System, the Gemini GVN ensures that the decoders are capable of transmitting HDMI 2.0 video signals up to a maximum resolution of 4K60 either over CAT (up to 100 meters) or over fiber (up to 10 km) and support HDR, HDR+ and Dolby Vision. It is designed for mission-critical environments such as control rooms, broadcast centers and high-end enterprise applications.

Other features include two Ethernet interfaces, 4K HDR support and management with the Lightware Device Controller. By seamlessly integrating with third-party control systems, Gemini GVN is designed to enable AV integrators to build large, distributed systems over an IP network. According to Lightware, the product combines the performance of a traditional matrix switch with the flexibility and scalability of IP architectures.
