Like a seed in the desert. Saudi Arabia boasts of a new project

Populous showed the design of the King Salman Stadium, which will be located in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, next to a vast park currently under construction. According to the visualizations, the stadium will take the form of a huge round building divided into sections with facades decorated with green walls and roofs, on top of which there will be walking paths.

Although details about the size of the facility have not yet been revealed, it is known that the stadium will accommodate over 92,000. spectators, making it the largest sports facility in Saudi Arabia and one of the largest in the world. Next to the main stands, the stadium will be equipped with luxurious areas, guest boxes and places for VIPs.

It’s a space that has offer the highest comfort for both special guests and ordinary fans. Additionally, the stadium will include indoor screens, gardens, climbing walls, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a smaller stadium for athletics. There will also be a running track in the complex, which will run through a nearby park.

The construction of King Salman Stadium is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2029and the facility will become the headquarters of the national football team. This is one of many stadium projects currently underway in Saudi Arabia, alongside the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium and the Esports Arena in Qiddiya City – these projects were also developed by Populous. Other equally ambitious projects are also being developed in the country, such as the futuristic city of Line and Mukaab.
